Series: Chinese divine beasts

The dragon is one of the mythical animals of China, holding water and bring rain. It’s known as one of the Four Auspicious Beasts, with the Fenghuang, Qilin, and Spirit Turtle. It is often said that it lives in the water or under the ground. It is said that it calls down thunderclouds and storms with its voice, and flies freely in the heavens as a tornado. It seems to be a little different from Japanese or Western dragons.
