Series: Chinese divine beasts

The Xiezhi is a mythical animal of China. The body is covered with black hair, and looks like a sheep. The face is like a Qilin and has long horns. It has great skill for distinguishing right and wrong in humans. It became an auspicious beast that symbolizes justice, and it is said to be an origin of Komainu guardian dogs in Japan.
